EDITOR’S NOTE
This is Issue I Volume I of the Sindh Journal of Linguistics (SJL). There have been great efforts and contributions by many people, which must be acknowledged. First of all I would like to thank the editorial team the managing editor, Mr Wafa Mansoor Buriro, and the associate editors, Mr Hatesh Kumar and Ms Kiran Shirazi. I am especially thankful to Mr. Wafa Mansoor Buriro who made this journal a possiblility after very hard and devoted work. We are thankful to our Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Jamshaid Adil Halepota, Dean Faculty Languages and Cultural Studies. Above all this, however, it has been the honorable Vice Chancellor SMIU, Dr. Mujeeb-u-din Sahrai Memon, whose vision to promote academic activities and research culture in the University actually encouraged us to work devotedly for the great cause.
A good quality research journal is never possible without the authors sending their good quality research papers and the reviewers giving their feedback on the papers submitted, thus helping us to decide whether to accept or reject any paper. We are thankful to all the authors and the reviewers who contributed in the research activity. Finally, we are very much thankful to the members of our Advisory Board, both national and international, for their consent to be part of the journal.
The SJL team aims at making it, not just a national journal, but an internationally recognised journal for which we have long way to go. We are committed to our target, and we will achieve the goal with the will of the Almighty- the Creator.
